Title：Elementary set theory

Abstract：We in this semester mainly talk about Xiong Jincheng's book “Lecture Notes on Point Set Topology” (5th Edition). In this opening talk, we are going to discuss the essential foundation of naive set theory, which is the fundamental tool for all subsequent topological concepts, and serves as the basic language of modern mathematics. It begins by reviewing the notions of sets, relations, functions, and elementary operations on sets.
